Happy Thelemic New Year from Black Sun Oasis! As you may know, the recent Vernal Equinox begins the Thelemic Holy Days, leading up to the Feast for the Three Days of The Writing of The Book of The Law. We hope these Holy Days offer a time for reflection, magick, and dedication to the Great Work in this, the final year of the current 22-year cycle. Welcome to the Universe.
Black Sun recently performed the Invocation of Horus ritual for the Equinox to commemorate the coming of the New Aeon. We also performed a drawing of the I-Ching, resulting in Trigram 41.

As many of you may already know, the U.S. Executive Council adopted this as the official emblem of E.G.C. within the U.S. Grand Lodge of O.T.O.
What you might not know, however, is that is was designed by Black Sun’s own Frater Aei Aithês! Congratulations, Brother!

Those interested in taking Minerval Initiations need to have their applications in no later than Monday, January 21st 2013 ev. The Initiations are scheduled for Saturday, February 23rd ev. Please contact the secretary if you need an application, or have one to turn in.

This past Saturday, December 15th, the Brothers and Sisters of Black Sun Oasis consecrated and hung a painting of Babalon by artist Jay Brown, by way of an original ritual written by Brethren of the Oasis. The ritual is available on the Materials page.
After a wonderful potluck feast, an unveiling of an important Icon in Thelemic history was unveiled and hung. We hope those visiting will get a chance to view and enjoy both these pieces! Afterward, the Brethren performed Liber Israfel. The evening wound down to much Fraternity and fun. A great way to celebrate the upcoming Solstice!
